Here is the crux of the ignorance of your ideals. I have friends that are lesbians that are married and that have kids. It's called sperm donors. Gay men can use their sperm and a surrogate, they do produce children and there are many articles that state that same sex parents tend to be better stewards of children as well. Again you scream that others are responding in emotion and shock at your hypocrisy while many are responding to the facts of reality.

The other point about being better stewards, that is easy, someone who uses either method obviously wants a child, while 1 out of every two first births in this country are to unwed.uncommitted mothers.

My visceral feeling about homosexuality is that it is a bizarre and loathsome perversion. I would feel that way if I believed in no gods, or twenty gods. I would feel that way if Jesus Christ in the Sermon on the Mount told me not to feel that way.

Nevertheless, I doubt there are enough homosexuals who will get married for it to have much of a fiscal effect.

Moreover, if homosexual marriage slows the spread of AIDS, it may have a beneficial effect. AIDS is an expensive disease to treat. Because few AIDS infected homosexuals can afford treatment, most of it is paid for by public money.

My impression is that homosexuals are more likely to obey the law and to pay their own way than heterosexuals. By staying alive they benefit the economy.

How many hetrosexual marriages also have conceiving problems which result in no births created?

A marriage should NEVER be opposed based on NO possibility of a child being conceived. There are many children who would benefit from being adopted and, regardless of your viewpoint, a stable loving environment whether the partners be of the same sex or not, is more beneficial than a foster home.

IF, as you have stated, you are fully behind the concept of accepting love in whatever form it takes and agreeing that marriages should be about love, then how can you possibly state that you oppose marriages for gay and lesbian couples also marriages based on pedophilia and incest?

Unless you are of the opinion that NO gay or lesbian could love someone who shares the same sexuality and that NO person with either incest or pedophilia interests could love another person from the same background.

These conflicting viewpoints lead me to think that you have bigoted thoughts against anyone and anything that does not comply with what you see as the "normal" family unit.

The proposition that same sex marriage creates an economic distortion is too silly for words. Marriage rates in this country have been declining for the past 50 years or so. If there is some real remunerative advantage to marriage, few people seem to think it is enough to be worth effort.
