Curt Schilling and Arian Foster got into a heated Twitter argument about The Bible

Curt Schilling and Arian Foster probably don't agree about much in life. But the former star athletes do agree that Twitter is a good place to debate beliefs.

Schilling, the 50-year-old six-time All-Star pitcher, is an outspoken Christian conservative, while Foster, the 30-year-old four-time Pro Bowl running back, is an atheist who was raised Muslim and leans to the left. That led to a heavy, lengthy debate Friday on Twitter.

It started with Foster questioning the use of religion as justification for hate.

Schilling stepped in. (Were these two following each other before this?)

And we're off.

Foster turned the conversation even further with this one:

But he then had a comeback for Schilling ...

Who then had a comeback for Foster ...

And this thing kept going, with a lot of other people jumping in on the conversation to twist arguments and change the discussion.

Foster upped the intensity level even further ...

And Schilling dropped a link that ... well, read it if you'd like.

The conversation kept going, but you can take it from there if you're really that interested.

The nice part is that both of these men are willing to engage all of their followers. This was a fluid debate between two sides that hold exact opposite views.
